Tea Party

Hello! 

My summer holidays started this week :) I am happy *-* 

Well, last saturday I haven't finished the exams yet, but I met Sarah and Ida. 

Long time passed since we don't meet Ida >.< 

We went to a japanese restaurant that is very famous because is the first specializing in ramen. 

It is very small and we had to wait even before the time of opening. 

I didn't want ramen, so I ate onigiri. It was my first onigiri! ^-^ 

and as I suposed, I like it

Then, Sarah and I joined into a Tea Party in Madame Chocolat 

shop to celebrate de International Lolita Day. 

We ate some cupcakes and cookies. The Tea Party topic was Alice in Wonderland, 

thats because the room was decorated following the styele of the story

 and the cookies had rabbit, keys, teapot shappes.

That day the weather was really hot... but without any cloud we could took really nice photos. 

Sarah wore an Angelic Pretty dress and I wore a new one which I bought in Zara. 

I loved it at first sight and my mum said it was made for me. I couldn't resist and finally bought it. 

I also wore an Angelic Pretty cardigan ^^ 

Do you like my coordinate? I like mix styles 

We participated playing a game: the Lolita trivial. 

We won some points answering lolita and japanese fashion questions. 

Then, we exchanged points in to shop kawaii items. I think the owner had a really nice idea organizing that game and the event :)

La Mona

Hello! 

How are you? Recently I feel really nice and I hope I could feel like this for a long time :)

I have told you my Easter! Well, today I am going to show you the cake my sister and I cooked. 

In Catalonia is typical eat chocolate eggs and a cake called "mona". 

We saw the cakes on bakeries and we thought we could made a better one. Of course, we did it. See it: 

What do you think? My sister made this cute rabbit :) 

And I made the eggs with chocolate. How? I blowed up ballons and covered with melted chcocolate. 

While the chocolate was melted I decorated each one and  later I hanged the eggs from a thread.

Inside the cake we put jam. 

The cake was a surprise for my parents due they was traveling and arrived that day. 

My mum was very happy! hahaha

We enjoyed it with my cousins and my aunt. She was my godmother so the tradition is that she gives to me the cake. But I am not a child so since few years ago my sister is who made the cake. 

Akashi Gallery

Hello March! This is the first post of the month.

Well, today I want to show you some pics we took (thanks to Sarah, because she always 

took the photos with her camera ;) ) the day we celebrated our B-Day ^^ 

After lunch we went to Akashi Gallery to eat the dessert. This is the second time I choose taiyaki 

and this time I tasted a tea called Royal Fruit. It is really nice.

I don't like windy days >.< because later  I use to have headache

Carnival Night

Hello! Is very late (almost midnight) but I don't want go to sleep. 

It is Saturday night but my plans changed due the snow (well, the snow has melted), 

but I prefer postpone my plans. 

2 weekends ago I met with a friend. 

(yes, we are making selca stupid faces -hahaha-)

That day I got annoyed because hairdresser result. 

I don't like when my fringe is too short and people can see my eyebrows. 

Recently I though about change my hair look but I am not sure >.< 

I changed the colour. Now my mum and I have the same dyed hair colour -> Aubergine color

I love it!

We dinner together like a couple in Heart Burger. 

We  tasted the Oriental one and then we shared the dessert: 

coulant and strawberry ice cream. Yummy~~~

Later, we went to the disco with two friends. 

The next night I also hang out with friends to celebrate Chinese New Year. 

We had a dinner and then we celebrated Carnival at disco. I chose this outfit (H&M dress)

because animal print is good to improvise a costume Don't you think so?

I only needed the hair accessory I made 2 years ago. Yes! This ears are hand made by me :)

before Christmas

Few days before Christmas vacation in the hall of the Translation Faculty (where I study) 

there was a Christmas tree. 

It is special! As you can see it is made with books! 

I participated creating the tree too because I donated a book. 

Without people's books the project wasn't possible. 

Do you like it? 

Before Christmas all the restaurants are crowded because company dinner or lunch...

 My Japanese classmates, the teacher and I do it too every year (and at the end of the academic year too)

This year we decided go to San Kil, a Korean restaurant. I have never been there before 

but I recommend it! We ate bibimbap, kimbap, bindaetteok and bulgogi. 

Moreover we also tasted these appetizer for free. 

Kimchi and 4 things more I don't know exactly... 

We spend a nice time together. Maybe it is my last dinner with them because 

I leaved Japanese classes because I am too busy...

As I told you I went to Barcelona last weekend. 

And I went yesterday too  because my classmates of Japanese,

 the teacher and I had a dinner. Every year we do it and is typical in Christmas people 

go together to have a lunch or dinner before the year ends. 

That day I searched on internet some restaurant where we can eat okonomiyaki

because my sister never tasted it. 

We ate gyoza, yakisoba, okonomiyaki  (of course) and tekka maki. All tasted delicious 

and as I expected my sister likes okonomiyaki ^-^

I recommend Nagomi restaurant. Its isn't cheap as restaurants we use to go

but is perfect for an especial occasion. 

At evening we took some photos in the street. I want show you Barcelona's Christmas lights:

There are more but I was very tired at the end of the day. I hope go again soon and take more photos

Chinese friends

Yesterday I went shopping to Barcelona with my sister because we had to buy a lot of Christmas presents. 

But on of the last times I went was because the birthday of one of the Chinese girls who is studying 

Spanish at university. 

She is from Xi'an and turned 24 :)

Of course they have Chinese names but we call them by their Spanish names.

 They prefer we do it this way. 

We celebrated the birthday at Korean restaurant ^^ I have been there 3 times more or less but this time I tasted different dishes. 

I didn't told you one night they invite Mariona and I for having a dinner together in her home. 

It was a "huoguo party" (hahaha). That night we ate too much!!! I tough my stomach was going to explode...

then I went to the disco with Lucy. We danced all the night... it was a special night because we were VIP 

in two of the better discotheque in Barcelona, near the beach. It was amazing. Sorry, it is amazing (still, I couldn't believe it)

And this? Well, is a postcard (东巴线明信片) that Mila gave it to me. They is very proud of her city (Lijiang, 丽江 ) in Yunnan province (south China). 

The picture in only style is beautiful! 

(Sorry because before edit the post I wrote bit** instead of beach (o.o)

 maybe it made the blog will have more readers)

have a break

HI!!!

Today I don't have class 

But I woke up early because I have to read some information for an essay :'(

Yesterday I bought a boots in Zara. I have to take photos about all my new things!!!!

Ok. While I don't have the photos I upload this:

I took it few months ago but I like it :) 

Is not edited. No Photoshop. Nothing! My camera behaved well with me that day (haha)

Recently, on afternoon, my sister and I often go to eat something delicious.

We can talk about many things too while enjoy it.

Muffins are really nice! And that day was the first time I drunk this lemonade.

Definitely, I don't like too much :/  

Castanyada

Party is synonymous of food. 

As more I know about different culture I see clearer that all people 

use to celebrate festivities eating something special. 

We do it too. These small and cute cakes are typical on Castanyada, 

the Catalonia festivity celebrated on 1st November 

(our particular Halloween but totally different)

The sweets are called "panellets"

I bought the sweets because I wanted my Chinese exchange friends taste it

My favourite one is made with pine kernel and, 

together with almond ingredient, is the most popular and typical. 

Well, the photo could be better but I ate almost all the sweets of the box. Sorry~~ haha

We don't use to celebrate Halloween although is known worldwide but 31th October,

 when I arrived to university (asleep and shivering due the cold weather), I get a surprise!

For the first time the hall was decorated with Halloween motifs. 

Is an original idea but despite the peculiar atmosphere we had class. 

We classes ended Sarah and I posed to took a photo. 

That day I felt bad T.T but I tried to smile

XVIII Saló del Manga

Hi!!!

 Today I want to talk about the most important event in Barcelona related with manga.

This year it was celebrated in "Fira de Barcelona" for first time.

 The convention center where the event was celebrated is bigger than old one.  

Moreover the location is better because is in the center of Barcelona (near Plaza Espanya). 

The years before we had to go to another city which I don't like.

When we arrived there was much of a line... 

but luckily a friend of mine (next to me in the photo) let us jump the line (n.n' haha)

So, we could enter in few minutes... but I know some people queued for over 2 hours.

Every year a lot of people assist but this year had more visitors than ever. 

(I read in newspaper the audience was around 112 000 people).

The outfit I chose was inspired in autumn: maroon and different shades of brown. 

This year the event focused on Japanese gastronomy. For this reason, there were a lot of 

Japanese food to taste. Buy food was the first thing we did when we were inside.

We tasted rolled Japanese  crepe because is the first time in Barcelona we could eat it.

Few days ago the first restaurant specialised on  these kind of crepes opened up. 

I haven't tasted original rolled Japanese crepe but some people think that are better than these. Maybe is too soon to judge the new restaurant and need more experience. 

Later I bought this nikuman. What is a nikuman? Is a Japanese food made from flour and pork meat inside or other ingredients.  

I love it!!! ♥♥♥ It make me remember Chinese xiaolongbao

We decided eat inside but it was impossible! The problem: too many people... 

Finally we eat at our favourite Japanese restaurant.

We went back but I was really tired. Moreover this year I found the event different. Not because the new place but because I feel the event is always the same... 

We need something special for the next year! 

Maybe a famous guest would awake our interest again

 I only bought 4 things but I will show you next time!

Heart Burger

At the end of this summer, I found a special restaurant in Barcelona. 

My sister and I decided go there to taste the hamburgers. 

Yes, burgers... Heart Burgers! 

The form is perfect but not only the form, the burgers taste really nice :) 

You can choose the type of bread and there are several type of burgers in the menu. 

Moreover you can choose salad or fried potatoes to complete the dish. 

Maybe the most important thing is that the ingredients 

are as more natural as possible and ecological.

It is called Sweet Fish and the main ingredient is grilled tuna. 

Other ingredients are: mango, cucumber, tomato, avocado and coriander. 

Look healthy, isn't? To tell you the true I decided go to this restaurant because the different concept about burgers and the importance of our native products.

Then we walk trough Paseo de Gracia. I saw the beautiful 

Louis Vuitton showcase designed by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. 

I remembered my travel to Madrid last summer because

 I could enjoy one exposition of her. 

I think the showcase is still decorated. 

Well, I want upload new entries more often but I don't have time enough 

(or sometimes I am lazy...)

Hello Kitty cookies

My sister and I cooked cute Hello Kitty cookies

The box, a present I received in for my birthday (in January!) contain all the ingredients. 

Is easy but the instrucction aren't good... simple but could be better

Then we used the cutters. Hearts and Hello Kitty faces shape!
Only 10 minutes in the oven, wait a little bit while cookies get cold and... eat!

The cookies are strawberry taste (sure chemical essence) but the main ingredient is butter, so I don't like it too much :(

We decorated some ones using glas  

Zaragoza trip - III

This is the last post about my summer trip. 

The last day was nice too. We started the day with a delicious breakfast. 

I ate this chocolate muffin and orange juice. This café has an old style and is very beautiful. 

Is like be in a old mansion. 

Then we visited some places. I loved this flowers in the street ^^ The lived colour combination is perfect!

We went to an Italian restaurant to have a lunch. This is the "risotto nero" I ordered ^^ 

And this is a typical sweet from that region. Is called "Trenza de Almudevar". The main ingredients are: caramelized walnuts, almonds, raisins, some liquor... Is crunchy because the glaze but inside the texture is soft, tender and creamy. The butter aroma and natural ingredients envelope you and... you can't resist bite it!

Zaragoza trip - II

Hello! 

Today was the first day of class. I'm very tired T.T but 

I want share my summer trip photos ^^ 

This is the second part. I think I'm going to upload a entry telling you more things.

The second day we woke up early in the morning and started sightseeing. 

My sister and I took this photo together. I'm not sure,

 but the name of this street is "Alfonso I street". 

Directly from the hotel to the basilica of "el Pilar".

 I can't count how many times we walked trough there... 

That day we visited "El Palacio de la Aljaferia". Aljaferia Palace is very beautiful. 

I loved walk around the Palace and appreciate the Moorish style of the place.

Then we eat in a typical restaurant where we savour a very nice local dishes. 

For example: asparagus with cured Iberian jam. 

 After having a break in the hotel we go out again.

Cocktails

One night, some friends and I went for first time to a restaurant in our city. 

That restaurant has a cool atmosphere and  is awesome because the main theme 

of the decoration are the Asian motifs.

The dinner was delicious and the dishes the offer are different, original and exotic. 

That night I chose duck with coconut sauce and cassava. 

The dessert (see the photo ^^ ) I ate: strawberry mouse.

Sushi

Hello! ^^ How are you? 

I'm still enjoying my summer vacation and next week I will visit a city in Spain called Zaragoza. Do you know it??? I think it isn't very famous... hahaha

Sushi

 Recently I like it too much! hahaha before I didn't like it. I don't know why but... maybe I didn't tasted it well :/ This is the sushi I ate at Maremagum, in Barcelona.

 I spend the whole Sunday with my mother and my sister because my father was travelling. The Japanese restaurant is called BIEN (美宴) and the food we can taste there is a fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese food.

 I don't use to like this kind of fusion but this restaurant is quite good (even not my favourite, of course).
